What this covers
This policy applies to the paid Patrol plans — Silver ($49/mo), Gold ($149/mo), and Diamond ($399/mo) — billed monthly through the Guardian dashboard at app.lictor-ai.com. The free skill suite and the free URL scanner cost nothing, so there's nothing to cancel or refund there.
Cancelling your plan
You can cancel at any time, yourself, from your Guardian account under Billing — or by emailing support@lictor-ai.com and we'll do it for you. There's no cancellation fee and no phone call to make.
Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep access to your plan through the end of the billing period you've already paid for, and monitoring continues until then. After that, your account drops to the free tier and we stop billing you.
Refunds
Because Patrol is billed month to month and you can cancel anytime, you're never locked into a long contract. On top of that:
- 14-day refund window. If you request it within 14 days of a charge, we'll refund that most recent monthly payment in full — no lengthy justification needed. This covers accidental renewals, changes of mind, and "I forgot to cancel."
- Duplicate or erroneous charges are always refunded in full, no time limit — see below.
- After the 14 days, the current month isn't refunded, but you can cancel at any point to prevent all future charges.
Refunds are issued to your original payment method through the same provider that processed the charge, and typically appear within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
Billing errors & duplicate charges
If you were charged twice, charged after cancelling, or charged an amount that doesn't match your plan, tell us and we'll refund the error in full — there's no time limit on fixing our own mistakes. Email support@lictor-ai.com with the date and amount and we'll sort it out.
How payments are processed
Subscriptions are processed by our payment providers — PayPal, and, where available, Paddle, which acts as the Merchant of Record for the sale. Your card or bank statement, and your receipt, may show the provider's name rather than "Lictor." That's normal, and this refund policy applies regardless of which provider handled your payment; refunds are processed back through that same provider.
How to request a refund or get help
Email support@lictor-ai.com from (or mentioning) the email address on your Guardian account, with the charge date and amount. We aim to respond within two business days and to process approved refunds promptly after that. You don't need a special form or reason for a refund inside the 14-day window.
Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits any rights you have under the consumer-protection laws that apply to you — for example, statutory cooling-off or withdrawal rights in the EU, UK, or elsewhere. Where such rights give you more than this policy does, those rights apply.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product and our payment options change. We'll update the effective date above, and for a material change we'll notify Guardian customers by email. The version in effect when you were charged is the one that applies to that charge.
